It has standard India pattern features as well as a "US" surcharge stamp visible at the tail of the lock, "B&S" markings on the lock and barrel (Blair & Sutherland), a fleur-de-lis over "DR" on the bottom by the trigger guard tang, collection marking on the trigger guard bow, and a "J. HILL" marked socket bayonet.

Good as reconverted to flintlock configuration with mix of applied brown and dark brown patina, moderate pitting concentrated at the vent, refinished stock, chipping and insect damage at the heel, chips around the lock mortise, crack at the rear lock screw, mostly distinct markings, and moderate overall wear. Mechanically fine.
