Description:

This musket was manufactured around 1750. The barrel has a block near the muzzle that serves as the front sight and bayonet stud and Suhl markings on the left near the breech. The "banana" lock is marked "AVBERT" below the pan and has a non-bridled pan. The furniture is all iron. Sling swivels are on one barrel band and the front of the trigger guard. Includes a short socket bayonet marked "No 17" on the socket.

Rating Definition:

Fine with overall with gray patina and mild pitting, some minor chips in the stock, a few minor spots of insect damage, and mild scrapes and dings. The bayonet has dark patina and moderate pitting. Mechanically fine.
