Manufactured in 1923. This is an exceptionally rare factory engraved Winchester Deluxe Model 1892 carbine with several special order features including the pistol grip stock and sight configuration. The receiver features a scroll engraving on a punch dot background and straight line and zig zag line/dot borders. A stag scene engraved in a circular panel is featured on the right side of the receiver. The receiver is without provisions for a saddle ring. The Winchester factory oval proof is offset on top of the receiver to accommodate a scroll flourish. Simple scrollwork adorns the barrel sides at the breech and at the serial number on the underside of the receiver. The carbine has a pinned beaded blade front sight with serrated front edge and a Lyman receiver sight. The barrel lacks provisions for a rear sight. The barrel has the two-line address/patent dates marking, two-line nickel steel marking, "32 W.C.F." on the left side and a Winchester factory oval proof on top at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line model/trade mark information. The highly figured forearm and pistol grip stock are checkered. The buttstock has a Winchester hard rubber grip cap and a crescent buttplate. The left side of the upper tang is marked "1121*." The assembly number "1120" (one number away from the tang number, possibly a factory error) is marked on the stock inlet, butt of the stock and buttplate. Factory engraved Winchester Model 1892 carbines are rarely encountered.

Excellent, retaining 90% original blue finish with thinning to brown and high edge wear on the balance. The engraving is crisp. The wood is also excellent with some minor handling marks, most of the original finish remaining and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. This scarce special order factory engraved deluxe Model 1892 carbine is a definite must have for the serious Winchester collector.
