Manufactured in 1925. The U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives has this rare trapper carbine listed by serial number as being removed from the NFA (National Firearms Act) and classified as a curio and relic. It has standard Winchester markings including factory oval proofs, pinned blade front sight, folding ladder rear sight, saddle ring and stud on the left side of the receiver, and carbine stock. All Winchester carbines having a shorter than standard 20 inch barrel are rare.

Exceptionally fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish with some areas of brown-gray patina and buttplate thinning to a brown. The wood is excellent with a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. This Model 1894 trapper with ATF exempted 15 inch barrel would be hard to improve upon!
