The accompanying factory letter lists this rifle with an octagon barrel in .45-90 caliber and plain trigger when received in the warehouse on January 6, 1893, and shipped on January 30. Dovetail blade and elevation adjustable sights, standard Winchester markings and solid crescent buttplate.

Very good, retaining 20% thin original blue finish on the barrel and magazine, 70% original blue finish on the breech bolt with a patch of pitting and some areas of silvered out original case on the receiver with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The refinished forearm and reoiled buttstock are good with some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
