The barrel is inlaid with the following in Fraktur script "B N Parisis" (upper left in silver), "Canon Damas Turc Fin" (on top in gold ), and "Senr in Aachen" (upper right in silver) accented by silver scrolls and has additional silver bands and scrolls near the muzzle, a silver blade front sight, adjustable notch rear sight with ornate base, and a wide silver band at the breech flanked by thin gold bands. The breech plug has silver wire accented scrollwork. The furniture generally has fine scroll engraving with gold and silver wire inlays as well as detailed animal scene with the animals rendered in gold and silver inlay. The stock has a horn forend cap and acanthus scrollwork carving inhabited by a dragoon and serpent on the bottom of the butt with bead eyes, an eagle on the forend, and another bird on the left side behind the cheek rest. "DT" is stamped by the rear barrel key escutcheon on the right. It is equipped with double set triggers and a fancy scrolling trigger guard.

Fine with most of the original silver and gold inlays (minor loss mostly on the barrel), distinct Damascus patterns and light brown finish on the barrel, aged patina on the brass forend escutcheons, strong original case colors on the hammer and breech, lighter original case colors elsewhere, mostly crisp engraving, and mild overall wear. The refinished stock is also fine and has minor dings and scratches and distinct carving. Mechanically fine. Overall a very elaborate German hunting rifle.
