Description:

Manufactured around the 1770s-1780s and featuring a belt hook, "crown/8" by the vent, Tower proofs on the left, "crown/2" and the Georgian cipher at the center of the lock, "TOWER" at the tail of the lock, "M/D7" on the right side of the pommel cap, and faint "H" and "broad arrow/30" markings on top of the wrist near the breech. A removable collection marking is on the trigger guard bow.

Rating Definition:

Good with light gray patina, some splashes of varnish, and light pitting on the lock and barrel; aged patina on the brass, distinct markings, chop at the tail of the lock, some small insect holes, insect holes visible on the refinished stock, crack at the rear lock screw, and mild overall wear. Mechanically fine.
