Description:

These distinctive arquebuses were used in Japan from 1543 to the 1850s when more modern firearms were finally introduced after the opening of Japan via American "gunboat diplomacy." It has a blade front sight, dual block rear sights, untranslated Japanese inscription at the breech as well as an unknown silver inlaid kamon, and plain lock and furniture.

Rating Definition:

Very good with dark brown patina on the barrel, dark aged patinas on the silver and brass, mild oxidation, and generally mild wear. The refinished stock is also very good and has some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically needs work.
