Description:

20,400 Model 1819 pattern pistols were manufactured by Simeon North in Middletown, Connecticut, in 1819-1823. This is the first U.S. model to use the swivel mounted ramrod that was used on subsequent models into the early 1850s. This 1822 dated pistol has the standard features and markings. The stock has an "LH" marking and an oval "LS" cartouche on the left flat and a "V" on the tail of the right flat. A condemnation mark is stamped ahead of the proof marks on the barrel.

Rating Definition:

Very good with mottled gray patina and mild pitting along the metal, filing marks on the pommel cap, distinct markings, some minor chipping and scratches on the fine stock, and general mild wear. Mechanically fine.
