Description:

This pistol reportedly was assembled during the American Revolution by a gunsmith and shows two "crown/crossed sceptre" proofs on the British barrel at the breech. The lock is lightly border engraved with no visible marking on the outside. The inside of the externally unmarked lock is marked with a small "B&A" stamp.

Rating Definition:

Good, showing mostly bright grey patina speckled with some light brown patina and light pitting, the brass shows an attractive antique patina. The wood has minor dings and scratches throughout, a moderate crack and a hairline crack at the forend, and some gaps around the lock. Mechanically fine.
