Only 4,213 Model 1841 Hall rifles were manufactured in 1841 and 1842. Most of the relatively short production run utilized the "fishtail" breech lever like this example which is also found on the Model 1840 Hall carbines. It has blade and notch sights, brown lacquer finished iron hardware, casehardened breech marked "H. FERRY/US/1841," a steel button head ramrod, and removable collection mark on the trigger guard. Includes a Hall socket bayonet.

Rating Definition:

Very good, showing mostly refinished brown finish with some mild flash pitting mainly on the breech block. The lightly sanded and reoiled wood has some minor dings and scratches scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is fine showing mostly a bright grey patina.
