This Model 1884 is marked with a crisp "SWP/1889" cartouche on the left side of the stock over the trigger. The stock also has a crisp circle script "P" by the trigger guard tang. The lock has the standard markings. The barrel bands have "U"s on the right. The low arch breechblock is marked "U.S./MODEL/1884", and "462366" is at the rear. The barrel has the standard proofs. The solid buttplate is marked "US". The rifle is equipped with a blade front sight that doubles as the bayonet stud, an "R" marked Buffington rear sight, grooved trigger, and two piece trigger guard and includes a slotted cleaning rod.

Excellent. 95% plus of the original blue finish and case colors remain. There are some small handling and storage marks and some slight wear at the muzzle. The stock is also excellent and has a crisp cartouche and some light scratches. The lock functions fine, and the markings are crisp.
