It has standard markings and features. The stock has a "JSA/1898" cartouche. The stock compartment contains the three-piece cleaning rod and a nickel-plated oilier. A collection marking is on the trigger guard. It is fitted with a brown leather sling and includes an "1899" dated bayonet with blued scabbard and hanger.

Very fine with 95% plus original blue and casehardened finish, light edge wear, slight handling marks, and a few minor scratches. The refinished stock is otherwise fine and has slight scratches and dents with varnish over the cartouche. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet and scabbard are excellent with minor age and storage related wear.
