Description:

Manufactured in 1901. Blade front and "C" marked folding ladder rear sight. The handguard has the pronounced hump to protect the rear sight, with a "JSA/1901" cartouche on the stock, script "P" behind the trigger guard, and a flat steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing some light spotting and a few areas of brown patina on the barrel, a fine dark case color on the receiver and magazine, mild spotting on the bolt and light handling marks overall. The stock is very fine, with a few tool marks on the compartment door and mild dings and dents overall. Mechanically excellent.
