Description:

Kelly Bros. one of the most well known Western spur making companies was started in the early 1900s by P.M. Kelly, who made his first pair of spurs in 1903. The pair are marked "KELLY/BROS" near each lateral button along with the initials "C.A.C." The scalloped heel bands are double nickel mounted with lightly engraved designs, swinging buttons, and copper and nickel mounted gal-leg shanks with chap guards ending in toothed rowels. Provenance: Joe Flores. Heel band width: 1" Shanks: 2 1/2" Rowel diameter: 1 3/4" Heel opening: 3 3/8".

Rating Definition:

Very good overall, showing a mottled grey-brown patina, age darkened copper, and bright nickel mountings with some scattered light oxidation and mild wear
