Description:

The Kelly Bros. company was started by legendary Western spur maker, P.M. Kelly, who made his first pair of spurs in 1903. This pair was manufactured in the early 1900s, likely before World War I, during a short collaboration between Kelly and Clyde Parker. This partnership ended in 1919. The pair are marked "K.B.&P." near the lateral buttons. The upturned heel bands are single mounted with lightly engraved silver diamonds with round pearl mountings, which match the lateral buttons. Gal-leg shanks ending in large seven-point star rowels. With tack decorated leather straps. Heel band width: 1" Shanks: 3" Rowel diameter: 2 3/4" Heel opening: 3 3/16".

Rating Definition:

Fine, showing mostly a brown patina and mostly bright silver mountings with some light pitting and scattered minor oxidation. The pearl mountings show some cracking and chipping. The leather straps are very good showing mild wear and some light cracking.
