Description:

Manufactured by one of the most desirable Western spur makers, Kelly Bros. This example were made in the early 1900s during a short collaboration between P.M. Kelly and Clyde Parker. This partnership ended in 1919. The pair are marked "K.B.&P." near the medial buttons. The heel bands have swinging buttons and are double mounted with lightly engraved nickel panels. Gal-leg shanks ending in spoked rowels. With border pattern tooled leather straps. Provenance: Bruce Bartlett. Heel band width: 1/2" Shanks: 2" Rowel diameter: 1 1/2" Heel opening: 2 5/8".

Rating Definition:

Very good, showing mostly bright finish and bright nickel mountings with some scattered light oxidation and wear. The leather straps are good with one being very dry, brittle and torn, and the other showing moderate wear and some cracking.
