Description:

The included copy of a "Certificate of Engraving and Appraisal" from Jeff Flannery Engraving Co. lists the revolvers as "engraved in American Rococo style with 32 inch[es] of 24K gold wire inlay. The guns are cased in a walnut box with the complete Colt tool set." The gold wire inlays consist of dual bands at the muzzle and breech of each barrel, and two pairs of dual bands on the rear of each cylinder. The engraving consists of bold acanthus scrollwork accented by stippled backgrounds and crosshatching as well as additional accents such as star bursts and wavy lines. Both have smooth "one-piece" style pearl grips. The large close fitted case has blue lining like the dome of the Colt Armory and contains two six-round cartridge blocks and matching set of accessories in pearl or pearl handled with Colt "serpentine C" logo markings that includes a pair of screwdrivers, a brush, an oiler, a box, and a bore rod. "A" was manufactured in 1906 and has matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap and the assembly number "207" on the loading gate and back of the frame.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as master embellished by Jeff Flanney overall with essentially all of the blue finish, bright gold inlays, iridescent colors on the grips, crisp engraving, mostly distinct markings, some minor pitting under the finish on the cylinder face, and light handling and storage marks. Mechanically excellent.

The matching serial number is on the frame and left side of the front strap, and the matching assembly number "45" is on the loading gate and rear of the frame.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as master embellished by Jeff Flanney overall with essentially all of the blue finish, bright gold inlays, crisp engraving, brilliant iridescent colors on the grips, minor oxidation/pitting under the finish concentrated on the face of the cylinder, mostly distinct markings, minor glued spot on the toe of the left grip, and primarily only the slightest handling and storage marks.
