Blue chopper lump barrels with a broad, matte vent rib, single steel bead sight, "HOLLAND & HOLLAND/98 NEW BOND STREET, LONDON" maker's marks just forward of the breech, light engraving at the breech, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and modified/modified chokes. The casehardened receiver and lock plates feature full coverage Royal scroll engraving with standard maker's marks, "ROYAL/MODEL" on the underside, gold lined cocking indicators, single non-selective trigger, trigger plate marked "HOLLAND'S/SINGLE/TRIGGER", rolled trigger guard, and sliding tang safety with gold inlaid "SAFE". Attractively figured, multi-point checkered forearm with engraved fittings and Anson style latch, and pistol grip stock with relief carved tear drop flats, blank initial oval, and solid rubber Kick Eez recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches. With leather bound factory motor case and cleaning rod heads. Bore and stock measurements (R/L): chambers proved and measured at 3 inches ; both bores from the breech proved at .729 and measured at .731/.732; chokes measured at .015/.015; drop at comb 1 3/8 inches; drop at heel 2 inches; length of pull 14 5/8 inches; weight 7 lbs. 7 oz.

Very fine as professionally (possibly factory) refurbished. 95% of the blue finish remains on the barrels with scattered surface scratches and some light edge wear. The action and locks have 85% case colors with some silvering around the edges, well-defined engraving, and visible wear on the trigger guard. The wood is fine with attractive, dark figure, freshened checkering, some small scattered dings, and shortened buttstock. Mechanically excellent. Case is good with storage wear, cracking closure straps, and some interior damage.
