The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, and year of manufacture as 1976. The letter further states that all "37,000" series shotguns were manufactured outside the factory through the Birmingham gun trade and were finished and tested at the Holland & Holland factory. Blue steel barrel with wide, matte, trap style vent rib with single steel bead sight, marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND/13 BRUTON STREET, LONDON". Features a 3 inch chamber, fixed full choke, and automatic ejector. Coin gray finished Anson & Deeley box lock action with full coverage fine scroll engraving, Holland & Holland banners on the sides, standard proofs, rolled trigger guard, and finely knurled break lever. Nicely figured multi-point checkered, trap style forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with solid Decelerator recoil pad. With Holland & Holland takedown case.

Excellent. 95% plus original deep blue finish remains on the barrel with some scattered, small dings, mild muzzle wear, and a small visible line where the barrel has been joined to the block. The receiver has sharp engraving and some light handling marks. The wood is very fine with attractive color and figure, sharp checkering, and scattered small dings and scratches, mostly on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with some scuffs and storage marks, and mild wear on the lining.
