Beaded blade front and two leaf (one standing, one folding) express notch rear sights on a matte rib marked "WILKINSON & SON. GUN MAKERS TO HER MAJESTY. PALL MALL. LONDON" with standard London black powder proofs on the flats marked "30". The action, hammers, trigger guard, under lever, and back action locks feature fine English scroll engraving. "WILKINSON & SON" is marked on each lock which have sliding hammer block safeties. Checkered forearm with Wilkinson's patent lever latch, pistol grip stock with engraved steel grip cap, raised cheekpiece, blank initial oval, and lightly engraved steel buttplate. With Wilkinson & Son leather bound takedown case with brass fittings, "E.G.C" marked lid, two piece wood cleaning rod, cleaning rod heads, .577 snap caps, canvas web sling, oiler, and three London pattern turnscrews. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches, weight 8 lbs. 13 oz.

Fine with 40% of the period refinished blue on the barrels, some small dings, visible Damascus pattern, and areas of mild edge wear. The action and locks have a mostly gray patina with traces of original case colors in the protected areas, clear markings and distinct engraving. The refinished wood is fine with visibly replaced sections of wood directly behind the fences, well defined checkering, and small dings throughout. Mechanically excellent. Case is good with heavy scuffing on the exterior, interior staining, and broken carry handle.
