Beaded blade front and three leaf (one standing, two folding) express notch rear sights on the matte rib with three drilled and tapped holes on the rib with filler screws (likely for sight or scope mounting), single extractor, and standard London black powder proofs on the flats. The right barrel is marked with the New Bond Street address, and the left is marked "WINNER OF ALL THE FIELD RIFLE TRIALS 1883". Casehardened round body action with light border engraving, knurled under lever, Holland & Holland marked back action locks, sculpted hammers, knurled hammer block half cock safeties, and marked "CHARGE 4 DRAMS CASE 3 1/4 INCHES" on the left side of the frame. Checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with horn grip cap, blank initial oval, raised cheekpiece, and checkered horn buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches. Weight 8 lbs. 0 oz. With modern leather bound takedown case with Holland & Holland trade label on the interior, two-piece wood cleaning rod, cleaning rod heads, three turnscrews, and cloth sling.

Fine as refinished. The barrels have 70% reblued finish with light barrel markings, mild spotting, some gray patina, and some light pitting under the blue. The action and locks have shadows of original case colors with a mostly gray patina on the balance, strong nitre blue on the safeties, and some spotting. The wood is good with worn checkering and dings and scratches throughout. Case is very good with storage marks.
