Offered here is the last London bench made bolt magazine Rigby rifle in .450 Rigby Match caliber. The rifle is built with a deluxe grade checkered pistol grip stock and Mauser square bridge action. The barrel is fitted with a hooded beaded blade front sight with flip-up moon and short matted quarter rib with matted rear sight of one fixed and two folding leaves graduated from "50" to "150" yards and each folding leaf with gold inlaid center line. The top of the barrel is marked "J. Rigby & Co. London, England" on top ahead of the rear sight and "BSA MILBROOK, NY" on the underside. The receiver ring is marked "RIGBY/SPECIAL/450 BORE/FOR/BIG GAME," and the rear square bridge is matted. Blued bolt with bright hammer, nitre blue extractor, safety and follower, "S" with arrow safety marking in gold, and casehardened cocking piece. The serial number on the trigger guard is in gold, and the caliber marking on the floorplate is in gold. The highly figured walnut pistol grip stock features multi-point checkering, cheekpiece, casehardened trapdoor grip cap, blank silver initial oval, and solid recoil pad. Weight 10 lbs. 13.6 oz. Comes with a canvas bound case featuring Rigby labels on the interior of the lid and containing two leather slings, cleaning rod with attachments, Rigby oiler, box of flannelette patches, bottle of rangoon oil (empty), bottle of special cleaning fluid (empty), two screwdrivers, and two replacement front blade sights in a container. Also included with the rifle are three sealed plastic cases of Hendershot's brand "Extreme Custom" ammunition, 60 rounds total, marked for 450 Rigby, with a noted bullet weight of 500 grains and muzzle velocity of 2,350 feet per second, one case (20 rounds) marked for "Nosler DG Solid" loads and the other two (40 rounds) marked for "Northfork Bonded Soft" rounds.

Excellent, retaining 97% original blue finish turned mostly to a plum on the barrel and receiver. Nearly all original case colors remain on the cocking piece and grip cap. 95% plus original nitre blue remains on the safety, follower and extractor. The stock is excellent with limited handling evidence and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent showing minimal wear.
