Manufactured in 1980, this factory engraved Colt Single Action was for Raymond H. Vanyek (a famous Colt SAA collector) and features factory Class "B" floral scroll and punch dot engraving covering the barrel, frame, cylinder flats between the flutes, back strap and trigger guard bow. The muzzle of the barrel has two gold inlaid bands, there is gold inlaid wire border around the cylinder flutes and the back strap is gold inlaid with the script initials "R.H.V." for Raymond H. Vanyek. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address and the left side "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45". The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The Colt triangle "VP" proofmark on the left front of the trigger guard bow and "K" to the rear. Casehardened frame, polished hammer sides and the remaining surfaces are bright Colt blue. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights and grips that are marked "34/C-26/AJE/INDIA" on the inside of each panel. The accompanying factory letter verifies the serial number, caliber, barrel length, blue finish, grip material, Grade "B" engraving and that it was shipped as 1 gun to Pacific International, Sacramento, California on November 21, 1980. Also complete with the original "wood grain" box with Colt Custom Shop label indicating special order features and numbered to the gun.
