The included factory letter confirms the gun's configuration including the royal blue finish, gold plated back strap and trigger guard, as well as the grip material and shipment on 21 March 1984. It goes on to state that the gold inlays were beautifully executed by Colt Master Engraver, George Spring. These gold inlays features gold bands at the muzzle, breech, both ends of the ejector housing, and rear of the cylinder, along with borders around the bottom portion of the frame and cylinder flutes. All of this is topped off with gold inlaid flourishes of floral scroll and six stars spaced evenly around the cylinder, making for an elegantly subtle Buntline Special that would bring a distinctive addition to your growing collection. Includes a plain shipping box with the original matching numbered Custom Shop label attached with tape.

Near new with 99% plus original royal blue and gold finishes with only the slightest handling marks. The grips have a few normal hairline age cracks in the butts. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with mild wear and tape.
