Manufactured in 1898. Dovetail blade front sight (bead absent), elevation adjustable rear sight, takedown frame, 12-groove forearm and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate. The top barrel flat is stamped with the two-line address marking and "22 SHORT." The upper tang has the three-line model/patent dates marking.

Fine. The barrel and magazine tube retain 50% thinned original blue finish. 90% original blue finish remains on the bolt. 40% original case colors remain on the hammer, receiver and trigger guard. The wood is also fine with minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
