A) Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Rifle

Description:

Both rifles have standard markings and features, socket bayonets, and scabbards ("NC" hanger on "A" and "US" hanger on "B"). "A" was manufactured in 1885 and also has a leather sling and an "SWP/1889" cartouche. Both have removable collection marks on the trigger guards.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall with 85% plus original finish, loss mainly at the muzzle and edges, and some light marks and scratches on the reoiled wood. The bayonet is a extra tight fit. Mechanically excellent.
