This highly attractive, consecutively numbered Arrieta cased pair features blue, chopper lump barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, single bead sights on matte ribs, and standard markings and proofs. The action and lock plates are vibrantly casehardened with full coverage Purdey style rose and scroll engraving, standard maker's marks on the underside, gold inlaid numbers on the break levers ("1" and "2" respectively), single non-selective triggers, and automatic sliding tang safeties. With nicely figured walnut, beavertail forearms with engraved fittings, Anson style push rod latches, and English style straight grip buttstocks with relief carved tear drop flats, matching engraved trigger guards with gold inlaid "A/fleur de lis/C" marking, white metal initial plaque inscribed with "RMM" monograms, and solid rubber Decelerator recoil pads. Gun "A" has modified/improved modified choke tubes installed and 14 1/4 inch length of pull. Each shotgun includes an extra matching numbered forearm and buttstock. With leather bound takedown case with oak trim, Arrieta trade label on interior lid, three ebony handled turnscrews, two sets of snap caps, oil bottle, three piece wood cleaning rod, six extra choke tubes, extra small parts, and cleaning tools.

Exceptionally fine. 99% original, deep, polished blue remains on the barrels with some small surface scratches and light handling marks. The case colors are vibrant and the engraving crisp with some light silvering around the edges. The upgraded replacement wood is very fine with attractive color, grain, and figure; sharp checkering, and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with some visible storage wear and some small dings on the oak trim.
