Manufactured in 1907 with the barrel marked "R.I.A./flaming bomb/6-07", hooded blade front and adjustable ladder rear sights with top volley notch. The bolt is correctly unmarked. Smooth "S" straight grip stock with grasping grooves, a boxed script "C.N./1908" cartouche, a circled script "P" proof on the bottom of the wrist and a smooth steel trapdoor buttplate with oiler. Replacement N.R.A. Marked Tigger guard. Includes Springfield Armory bayonet dated "1906" with leather Rock Island Arsenal sheath.

Fine. 60% plus original blue finish remains with areas of edge and high point wear, surface scratches, and flaking on the bands. The receiver has a mottled blue/gray patina. The stock is also fine with well defined markings and finger grooves, scattered scratches and dings, and some spotting on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent. Bayonet is very fine.
