According to the included factory letter, this pistol was part of a 50-piece lot shipped to the Shapleigh Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri on March 3, 1920. Fixed sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent dates on the left side of the slide divided by the Rampant Colt, "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45" on the right, and a "GOVERNMENT MODEL" frame with long smooth trigger, wide hammer, short grip safety, flat mainspring housing, unmarked two-tone magazine, checkered grips with diamond screw escutcheons and a blued barrel with a polished hood, "2" on the right side of the lug and "P" marked ahead of the lug.

Excellent, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing some light edge wear and handling marks overall. A gray patina is forming on the grip frame and safety, with some light scratches around the serrations and mild takedown lines. The grips are also excellent, with some dings and dark spots. Mechanically excellent.
