Class: Curio & Relic Handgun
Description:

Due to the very limited production, the Camp Perry Pistol is one of the least encountered of all Colt cartridge firearms with a total production of only about 2,425. Manufactured in 1928, this model was created by modifying an Officer's Model frame to accept a special flat single shot "cylinder". Colt named this model after the site of the U.S. Target Competition held annually at Camp Perry, Ohio. It has the standard "CAMP PERRY MODEL" marking on the left side of the "cylinder", two-line address/patent dates on top of the barrel, and the caliber on the left side. The matching serial number is on the crane, left side of the frame under the grip panel and stamped on the inside of each grip panel. It is fitted with an elevation adjustable front blade sight, windage adjustable rear sight, a flat top frame, and checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions. Includes a black leather case with green felt fitted for this and gun "B" of this lot and two boxes of Remington Kleanbore .22 LR ammunition (50 rounds each).

Rating Definition:

Very fine with period modified target ramp front sight, with 90% of the original blue finish, areas of light edge wear present, some small dings, and light handling marks most noticeable on the grip frame. The grips are excellent with well defined checkering and some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some of the leather covering starting to separate and some light staining on the interior.
