Manufactured in 1939. Adjustable blade front and square notch rear sights, with "MATCH/(bullseye)/TARGET" on the let side of the barrel, "THE WOODSMAN" on the left side of the frame, and "COLT AUTOMATIC/CAL. .22 LONG RIFLE" on the slide, and "P/VP" and "25" marked trigger guard. The grips are the early "elephant ear" pattern, with fine checkering and a pair of silver Rampant Colt medallions, and the magazine is "MATCH TARGET" marked with a two-tone finish and a beveled floorplate toe. With the original Colt "black box, a cardboard storage/shipping box, small sight screwdriver and a number of papers, including a pair of hanging tags (one yellow with sight instructions, one green with info on the mainspring housing), instruction sheet, "Shooting Suggestions" pamphlet, manual, and a matching numbered factory test target.

Excellent, with 98% plus original blue finish, showing some minor edge wear and handling marks overall. The grips are also excellent, with some minor dings. The box is a very good, with torn edges and ink touch-ups. Mechanically excellent.
