One of 1,200 sets manufactured by Uberti for the United States Historical Society in 1981 based on the original set owned by Chase-Manhattan Bank. The pistols are set in a fitted and lined solid American cherry display. They are authentic reproductions of the original set manufactured in London by Wogdon. The original pair were used in multiple duels including the famous duel between former Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton and sitting Vice President Aaron Burr. Also included is a separate demonstration hair trigger along with a letter pertaining to it.

Very fine, retains 95% plus original thinning brown finish and most of the bright finishes with a few scattered patches of aged patina. The wood is excellent with a few light handling marks and crisp checkering. The hair trigger won't set, otherwise mechanically excellent.
