According to the included factory letter, this Ace pistol was part of an eight-piece shipment to the Morley Murphy Company of Green Bay, Wisconsin on August 29th 1931. Established in 1904 as a hardware wholesaler, Morley-Murphy is still in business today. Blade front and adjustable square notch rear sights, with the two line address and patent dates ahead of the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide, and "COLT <ACE> .22 LONG/RIFLE" marking on the right. With a checkered wide spur hammer, milled checkered trigger, and arched checkered mainspring housing. Fitted with checkered grips and a two-tone magazine with Ace markings.

Excellent, with 95% plus original blue finish, showing bright wear on the high edges, some light spotting and mild handling marks. There is a small patch of concentrated dings on the right side of the slide ahead of the caliber markings. The grips are excellent, with some mild dings and dark spots. Mechanically excellent.
