Early variation with blue finish and strawed small parts. Fixed sights, dated "1937" on the chamber, and the "S/42" code on the toggle. "Droop wing eagle/63" proofs on the extension and barrel, and eagle firing proofs on the extension, barrel and breechblock. Matching numbers are present overall, including on the blued alloy base magazines (one also marked "+" in the traditional style). "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" on the upper safety area and extractor respectively. Checkered hardwood grips. Includes a brown leather Genschow maker marked holster marked "1937" and "WaA387" on the back. Blued takedown tool with a faint "eagle/63" inspection stamp.

Excellent, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing a gray patina on the muzzle, bright edge wear, and light handling marks. 85% of the bright original straw colors remain. The grips are very fine, with some dings and dark spots. The holster is excellent, with some scuffs, along with some scratches at the hinge and traces of hand-markings on the rear. Mechanically excellent. This is a nice 1937 P.08 rig.
