Due to World War One, (when German makers were no longer able to supply the Swiss), The Swiss began producing Luger pistols, due to military needs. Fixed sights, with "P/53" on the chamber, "WAFFENFABRIK/BERN" on the toggle, "+/M" on the extension and Swiss crosses on the barrel, extension, frame, breechblock, and toggle. Matching full and partial numbers on the barrel, extension, frame, side plate, trigger, breechblock, and toggle links, other parts blank. Fitted with proper smooth bordered checkered grips, straw finished small parts, niter blue grip screws and a nickel magazine with wood base.

Excellent plus, with 99% of the original blue finish, showing a small amount of wear on the chamber and extractor and some light spotting and handling marks overall. Grips are also excellent plus. Straw and niter colors are bright and vivid. Mechanically excellent.
