This Model 1908 Commercial Luger was made without a stock lug or a grip safety and has not been cut for a hold-open device, marking the transition between the early, grip safety equipped Lugers and the later stock lug equipped ones. Fixed sights, with the "DWM" monogram on the front toggle link, and an arrangement of crown "B", "U" and "G" proofs on the barrel, extension and breech assembly. "GESICHERT" present on the upper safety area, and matching commercial pattern external serial numbers are present on the barrel, frame, takedown latch, side plate, and rear toggle link. Primary finish is a fine rust blue with straw colored small parts, niter blue pins and springs, checkered walnut grips, and a nickel magazine with an unmarked wood base. Included with the pistol is a brown leather flap holster with a faint hand marking inside the flap that has pouches for the following included accessories: an unmarked extra magazine, brass-tipped steel ramrod, a pin punch and a takedown/loading tool.

Very fine as restored, with 95% of the blue finish, showing some bright edge wear and mild spotting overall, as well as some discoloration of the side plate. The revarnished grips are fine, with some discoloration and dings on the sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good, showing some cracking and scuffing.
