Description:

This is a very good example of a late WWII production Norwegian manufactured, Nazi Occupation Model 1914, semi-automatic pistol. These were a direct copy of the WWI US Model 1911 pistol, only slightly modified for use by the Norwegian Army. The left side of the slide is correctly stamped with the Nazi "WaA/84" Waffenamt acceptance proof, followed by the single line factory marking of: "11.25m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914 =<>= No 30104" with a single Norwegian "Crown/K" acceptance proofmark over the markings. The right side is stamped with the manufacturing date of "1945". It has the standard blade front and notch rear sights with the extended slide release lever, milled trigger, thumb safety, checkered wide spur hammer, flat mainspring housing and short grip safety. It is fitted with a set of checkered Norwegian walnut grips with diamond patterns around the screws. It has matching numbers on the slide, frame, barrel, trigger, thumb safety, grip safety and mainspring housing. The pistol is complete with one original matte blued magazine with the lanyard loop on its base.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 70% of the faded original matte phosphate blued finish with wear and blue loss on the edge and high spots, with the front grip strap and mainspring housing/grip safety retaining a silvery/gray patina. The grips are both in very good condition with even wear across the tops of the grips and checkering with much of the blackish painted finish as possibly applied by the factory. Mechanically excellent.
