Description:

This 500 count crate of 2 3/4 inch Peters Victor Trap shotgun shells shows the normal Peters/Dupont nomenclature on the sides of the crate, including U.S. property markings on each end. The lid of the crate is marked "FROM ORDNANCE PROPERTY/OFFICER/PATTERSON FIELD/FAIRFIELD. O. U.S./TO ORD. OFF./SYRACUSE A.A.B./SYRACUSE N.Y.", along with a crossed cannons ordnance stamp. The crate contains 20 boxes of blue and white cardboard boxes featuring the orange and white Peters logo, all of which appear to contain their full compliment of 25 shells.

Rating Definition:

The crate is very fine overall showing mild wear with moderate dings and chips scattered throughout, and clear markings. The boxes and shells all appear to be very fine or better with some mild wear and some staining. Writer cannot recall ever seeing another full crate like this!
