Description:

This is a very good late WWII M1 Carbine manufactured by the Winchester company that was subsequently converted into a fully automatic "M2" type configuration using a set of the standard GI M2 conversion parts. The receiver ring has the standard "US CARBINE.CAL .30 M1" with the rear of the receiver marked "WINCHESTER/5691006" under the rear sight. The front of the barrel is marked with a single "W" Winchester firing proof. It has mixture of GI manufactured parts that includes a "SA" marked M2 trigger housing, "SA" marked M2 pot-belly walnut stock with a steel perforated handguard. The current features are the type three barrel band, stamped adjustable rear sight and push button safety. Complete with green canvas sling and a muzzle break marked "Check Recoil M1". Magazine absent.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 90% plus of the light gray parkerized finish showing light wear on all the edges and high spots with finish loss on the top of the bolt. The walnut stock is in fine condition showing handling marks and scratches overall. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
