This is a very nice example of a standard WWII M1 Carbine manufactured by the Standard Products company that was subsequently converted into a fully automatic "M2" type configuration using a set of the standard GI M2 conversion parts. The receiver ring has the standard "US CARBINE/CAL .30 M1" with the rear of the receiver marked "STD PRODS/2034109" under the rear sight. The front of the barrel is marked "UNDERWOOD/ 9-43/Ordnance Shell and Flame proof". It has mixture of GI manufactured parts that includes an "SA" marked M2 trigger housing and "RA" marked M2 pot-belly walnut stock with a SA marked four rivet handguard. The current features are the type three barrel band, milled adjustable rear sight, pouch button safety with an M2 magazine catch. Complete with green canvas sling and a tan 1943 dated double magazine stock pouch with two 15 round magazines.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 95% plus of the late gray/green parkerized finish overall with a blued bolt. It shows light wedge and high spot wear with some finish loss on the right side receiver ring. The stock and hand guard are both in excellent condition with nice stock proofs showing no handling marks. A very nice looking GI M1/M2 type carbine. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
