Manufactured in 1943. The barrel is marked "R.A./flaming bomb/12-43" and the front sight is correctly absent. The receiver is correctly marked in two blocks with: "U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3" on the left side and the serial number "4992037" on the right. The rifle has the correct 1903A4 sniper rifle bolt with the "R" mark on the underside of the bolt handle. A parkerized Redfield scope base is installed on the receiver and has been fitted with a blue M84 rifle scope that is fitted with a rubber eyecup and extending sun shield. The scope itself is a correct GI version marked "TELESCOPE/M84/SERIAL NO. 24121". It is fitted with the correct Remington manufactured stamped trigger guard and barrel bands. The rifle is fitted with a stock that has been stamped with "RA/FJA" flanking the Ordnance Department crossed cannons mark. It is also stamped with a single circled "P" on the grip, assorted sub-inspection marks forward of the floor plate from the Remington factory, and a small boxed "RIA/EB" Rock Island Arsenal refurbish mark on the left side of the butt. With canvas web sling.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 95% of the original finish remaining on the blue components with minor edge wear, surface scratches, and distinct markings. The receiver and scope base have 95% of the green parkerized finish with crisp markings. The barrel is reblued. Stock is also fine as lightly sanded and re-oiled with legible inspection marks and some small dings. Mechanically excellent. Scope is very good with clear optics.
