Description:

Manufactured in late 1941, this U.S. Springfield M1 Garand passed through the London Proof House; many Lend-Lease M1s were released to the public, with the proof marks applied per British law. Blade front (locking cup complete) and rear peep sights, with a flat "BATTLE RANGE" elevation drum. The Springfield barrel is dated "11-41", along with an assortment of London markings. Outfitted with a Springfield bolt, trigger housing, trigger guard, hammer, safety, and operating rod (no relief cut). The stock is correctly marked "S.A./G.H.S.". There is a small removable collection marking on the trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 95% original parkerized finish remains with some minor edge wear mostly on the gas tube, small surface scratches, and handling marks on the operating rod handle. The lightly sanded and reoiled stock is fine with scattered small dings and crisp markings. Mechanically excellent.
