Manufactured in 1943, this Remington-Rand shows markings consistent with small arms supplied to Great Britain under the authority of the Lend-Lease Act. Blade and flat top notch sights, with the standard slide markings, "FJA" inspected frame, stamped trigger, thin checkered hammer, long grip safety, checkered thumb safety, serrated slide catch and arched mainspring housing, reinforced Colt grips, "R" and "C-R" marked parkerized magazine and a Flannery Bolt barrel. A set of Birmingham proofs and "NOT ENGLISH MAKE" stamps have been added to the barrel, slide and frame, along with "RELEASED/BRITISH GOVT. 1952" on the frame next to the model marking. With a plain brown box.

Excellent, with 95% original parkerized finish, showing bright edge wear, light handling marks and spotting, and a few scuffs and dings on the grip frame and slide serrations. The grips are excellent, with some light dings. Mechanically excellent.
