It has the two-line barrel address/patent dates marking, "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side of the barrel, "R.A.C." inspector marks throughout, and matching visible numbers. Standard Army and model markings on the butt and partial "R.A.C." cartouche on the right grip, with the left grip dated "1894".

Very fine overall, retains 70% plus original blue finish with the balance a mixture of cold blue touch up and smooth grey-brown patina. The grips are also very fine with crisp cartouches and have some minor handling marks and hammer marks on the butt, and mostly crisp cartouches. Mechanically excellent.
