This is one of less than 300 Model 1928 A22's manufactured in 1980 and 1981 as a close copy of Auto-Ordnance's other larger caliber offerings but chambered in the readily available and extremely affordable .22LR. That's right, this machine gun is chambered in .22 LR, so you can take it out to the range and have a full day of fun without breaking the bank feeding it ammunition. This example still retained many of the earlier original style parts such as the finned barrel, adjustable rear peep sight, Thompson-Cutts style compensator on the barrel, a vertical fore grip, and a detachable buttstock. The left side of the receiver is marked in two blocks "U.S. MODEL 1928 A22/No. 243TF" and "THOMPSON SUBMACHINE GUN/CALIBER .22L.R." The right side is marked with the standard five patent lines just like the original versions followed by "AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION/WEST HURLEY, NEW YORK, U.S.A." It has a walnut stock, vertical fore grip, and pistol grip. The gun has an all aluminum receiver, trigger group and barrel (which has a steel liner in the bore) so that its very lightweight, and is finished in a black anodized finish overall. Includes a hand numbered factory style box, shipping sleeve with Auto-Ordnance label, and four extra stick magazines.

Excellent overall, retains 98% original black anodized finish with some light handling marks scattered throughout. The wood also has some light-minor handling marks scattered throughout. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with mild wear. A very fine little submachine gun that is sure to provide your next trip to the range with endless hours of affordable fun!
