Description:

Manufactured in 1956. A set of three mounting blocks are installed on the barrel, one for a globe sight and two for a scope, with a rear sight base on the left side of the receiver. No safety mechanism is present, takedown is via a spring-loaded rocking lever on the right side, and the bottom of the receiver is solid steel, with integrally machined cartridge loading guide. The stock is laminate construction, with a forward accessory rail fitted with an alloy hand stop and sling swivel, alloy trigger guard drilled and tapped to accept a handrest (not included), screw adjustable serrated trigger, right-handed thumbhole pistol grip, raised and dished-out cheekpiece, and an adjustable buttplate with a Roy Dunlap solid recoil pad. The takedown mechanism is a departure from the traditional Model 52 manual of arms, where bolt dismount is accomplished via trigger manipulation, and may represent an experimental or prototype feature. The included FN America Certificate of Provenance identifies the rifle by model and serial number, stating that is was previously a part of the Winchester Factory Collection where it was maintained by U.S. Repeating Arms.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 97% of the original blue finish, showing some light scattered spotting and handling marks overall. The stock is also excellent, with some light scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
