The carbine shows standard markings and features of the commemorative series that was released to the public by Winchester in 1970. This example was retained by the factory as a form or physical record keeping due to where its serial number falls, early in the series and the factory tag attached to the buttstock listing the year of manufacture, the model of commemorative, and the number of carbines produced in the series. The included FN America Certificate of Provenance identifies the carbine by model and serial number, stating that it was previously a part of the Winchester Factory Collection where it was maintained by U.S. Repeating Arms.

Excellent overall, retains 99% original finishes with only the slightest handling marks and factory storage grease throughout. Mechanically excellent.
