The Model 1862 Police was one of Colt's finest percussion revolvers and offered a compact and streamline design that still had potent fire power. This later example was manufactured in 1871 and has the standard markings and features, including all matching serial numbers (wedge blank).

Very fine with 90% plus vivid original case colors, 70% original blue finish, and 30% original silver plated finish. The exposed brass has natural aged patina, and the balance of the steel has smooth brown patina where the finish has flaked. The grip is also very fine and has mild edge wear and light scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
