The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, barrel length, finish, factory class "B" engraving performed by A. A. White Engravers, and the October 23, 1980 date of shipment to Howco Distributors of Laurel, Maryland as one of ten guns shipped on order number 1506. The remarks of both factory letters state the revolvers were returned to Colt for credit on December 20, 1982, and then subsequently sold as part of a "Special Package" to Pacific International Merchandising Corporation of Sacramento, California on April 29, 1983. Both revolvers feature factory class "B" engraving with gold inlaid bands and the muzzles, and gold inlaid Rampant Colt logos on the left sides of the lug, and are both correctly marked "COLT ENG" on the front grip strap under the grip. With fitted hardwood case with wine colored velvet interior.

Excellent overall. 99% plus original blue finish remains with some light handling marks, traces of oxidation around the front sight blade. Mechanically excellent. Case is also excellent with some small exterior dings.
